All cultures of the world will be invited to participate in the construction of a new communication platform at Berlin’s castle area – a forum, which will enhance inter-cultural relations and also reach out to the people of Berlin and Europe. The platform will act as a new voice amongst the global political, military and economic decision making bodies.

The cultural embassy will generate varied programmes, which will thrive from mutual competition and synergy. As a new tourist attraction it will enrich the regional cultural life and strengthens Berlin’s position in the current competition of European metropolises through the addition of an important political function.

The Cultural Embassy of the World is a contemporary re-interpretation of the official plan for the Humboldt-Forum. In a first phase, it can be realised with minimal investment. Instant priority should be placed on the investment into media-based communication devises that will help to construct a virtual global network. A decision on the architectural form of the embassy can be deferred to the future.
